Taken at Hamilton, 27 September, 1998. The cover's come off and the bird prepares to fly. That's former flight engineer George Devery climbing through the hatch. George flew on RNZAF Catalinas from Lauthala Bay in Fiji with both 5 and 6 Squadron during his 28 years service. This was to be his first flight on a Catalina with wheels.
