Taken at the RNZAF museum, Christchurch. 7 April, 1998 The Museum's purpose built replica depicts Joe Hammond taking Miss Esme McLalland on a flight over Auckland in 1913. Hammond subsequently lost his job because of the unauthorised passenger.
