BAC 167 Mk88 Strikemaster

Taken at RNZAF Base Woodbourne, April 19, 2000. The starboard wing looking aft and slightly outboard. Note the two pylons mounted on the hardpoints. Although Strikemasters could be fitted with up to eight hardpoints, the RNZAF only used four. The outer one carries a 341 litre (75 Imperial gallon) drop tank. Note the markings - the '160' is a local armourer's reference. The inner pylon is marked 641. The drop tank is marked DH42. Note also the segmented protective tape on the leading edge of the wing.
