Taken at the RNZAF museum, Christchurch. 24 August, 1993. This aircraft (originally a Cavalier) came from the Indonesian Airforce, before being rebuilt as a P51D and displayed as NZ2410 of No.2 (Wellington) TAF SQN.
I think this is the only display in the museum I didn't really like - somehow showing the Mustang with the tail raised just looked wrong. I'm used to seeing Mustangs with their noses in the air - like they're ready to leap skywards!
