DHC-2 Beaver

ZK-CMU as NZ6001/6010

oops

Taken at the RNZAF museum, Christchurch. 24 August, 1993. This former FieldAir topdressing aircraft has been modified to represent NZ6001/6010, a Beaver which operated with the RNZAF Antartctic flight between 1956 and 1960. The original aircraft was written-off after an accident on the Beardmore Glacier. The multiple tail numbers relate to an error in which the Beaver was allocated a serial previously allocated to the RNZAF's sole Gloster Meteor.
