AVRO 626

NZ203 / ZK-APC

oops

Taken at the RNZAF museum, Christchurch. 24 August, 1993. The last survivor. This aircraft was one of four purchased by the New Zealand Permanent Airforce in 1935. After becoming an instructional airframe, it passed into private hands and flew as ZK-APC during the 1950's. After being in storage for many years, it was re-purchased by the RNZAF in 1981 and restored to flying condition - I saw this aircraft over Hamilton during an aerial tour of the country in 1985.
