Consolidated PBY5a Catalina

ZK-PBY

Taken at Rukuhia, Easter, 1995. I had seen this aircraft once before - as it flew over Hamilton. It was great to get up close. The gentleman with the cap and walking stick is my father. The last time he saw a Catalina, it was a derelict PBY5 at the Hobsonville flying boat base, sometime in the early to mid-50's.
