Taken at Warbirds over Wanaka, Luggate Airfield, April 23, 2002. Port wing as seen from the rear. The wing is the metal stressed type rather than the fabric covered type seen on the early Mk.I. Note the walkway at the wing root to the right. In the centre can be seen the cover strip for the outer wing attachment point. To the left can be seen the gunbay and magazine covers. This aircraft has the original eight gun wing arrangement - four Browning .303 machine guns per side. The guns are fitted in a single bay for ease of replenishment. The shape of the panel reflects the diagonal rib placement beneath. Note also the variety of fasteners used on the various panels.
