Taken at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, January 28, 2001. Starboard side, looking aft. A chance to look inside as part of the cowling has been removed. The aircraft is fitted with a RR Merlin 35 (which would have powered a Boulton Paul Balliol or an Avro Athena trainer) rather than a Merlin XX.
