Taken at Rukuhia, Easter, 1995. Sir Kenneth Hayr taxies back from an awesome aerobatic display in his Yak. The former Marshall of the RAF, now in his sixties, showed that age is truely no barrier to skill. This was my first look at this type of aircraft in action, and the display was a real pleasure to watch! Note the open cooling shutters on the nine cylinder Ivchenko M14P radial engine.
